Evolutionists/atheists- where did the information contained in the first living thing come from?
The evidence for the theory of evolution, on the other hand, is conclusive. Many particulars have yet to be resolved, but the overarching processes of evolution can be as confidently affirmed as anything else we know as a result of modern science, such as the existence of gravity or germ theory of disease.
you're right, the odds are very low. but four and a half billion years gives you an awful lot of time to try things out tho.. look at the technology which has been created in only you're own lifetime! bacteria alone can reporduce every 20 minutes.. this would mean they could get through 2,366,769,447,000,000 generations..
however, it seems equally illogical to me that some people believe that, rather than evolving, the world was produced by a man who lives in the sky.
2. Ask an atheist a question in the Religion & Spirituality section
3. You are living up to your half of your name. Go back to sleep in science class. Don't worry, you can get all your misinformation from Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed, which seems to have a powerful affect on the weak minded.
I don't know.
See how easy that was? Instead of making up a fairy tale, I just admit that I don't know. Now, because I am willing to admit that I don't know everything, I am free to relax and go about my day, instead of persecuting people with other belief systems. It's wonderful. You should try it.
Two scientists replicated earth's early atmosphere by putting water, methane, ammonia, and hydrogen gas in a sealed, sterile flask. When they added an electric spark, hydrocarbons started to form. After a week of running this process, they had a brown slime that contained various organic compounds, including some amino acids.
I think the experiment produced about 6 amino acids. Nowadays there are 20 different amino acids commonly found in most living organisms, but life would have been much simpler at first, and these 6 would have formed the genetic code of the first organisms.
There are some other theories about how life developed from inorganic matter, but the point is that it's definitely possible. Once you have life, evolution is pretty much inevitable.
Your argument strategy is flawed if you mean to conclude that evolution does not exist because we do not fully understand its processes. Also, by attempting to disprove an opposing argument, you do not automatically validate your own. You must validate your argument by proving it, not disproving the counter argument.
Also, you are attempting to compare a scientific process with faith. These two things can exist together and are not mutually exclusive. Don't confuse the how and the why.
I would think it's somewhat silly to not agree that evolution exists to some extent. The main problem is that being the dominant species we are, we seem to grasp the idea that we are special. Certainly in the domain of intelligence, but certainly not in performance-like physical attributes.
So you're wondering why all these crazy evolutionists/atheists are too senile to believe that God just dropped humans on the face of the earth. Well let me ask you a question. What about animals? Did He just form them as well? If so, it surely doesn't coencide with the evolution and extinction of animals.
Nobody can explain the beginning of beginning. That's like trying to hypothesize the notion that if you reach the end of space, what happens next? Nobody knows and we'll probably not be around long enough as a species to ever find that out, certainly not your time or mine.
It's absolutely possible that life could have formed from non-living things. Life is just simply a term for an action that happens. Can you explain why mathematicians are unable to completely solve pi? That doesn't mean that pi doesn't exist. It means that we are human and some things currently are unexplainable.
To further continue, be realistic and think reasonable. The bible was written by man, not by God. It was not interpreted by God, at least there is no concrete evidence that suggests so. We as humans look for meaning and when we can't explain things, we search for an external answer. We find this in religion. Religion itself is also as evil as it is good. Sunni's and Shiate's have been destroying eachother for hundreds of years. Evangelists such as Benny Hinn pray on people in search of hope and last resort, while he crooks their hard earned money, desperate from answers and miracles. There are many great points to religion though, but the stories are not to be taken literally. Science and technology is slowly pulling away from religion. Thousands of years ago, nobody could prove the writers wrong.....science wasn't "evolved" yet.
I'm not suggesting what you should be or follow, but keep in mind that many possibilities exist to your question and it is a fantastic question by the way. I think we all wish to find the exact answer ourselves.
Looking at the system, it's not that hard to work out how it could happen and why DNA arose as the successor of RNA due to its better integrity.
