I got a tattoo last night and it was burning and swollen. I figured it would go away because my first one went away right away. This morning, it hurts worse than yesterday. It still burns and is swollen. I got the tattoo on my wrist so there were lots of veins and bone there. Could that be the reason?yeah, its probably hurting more because it was a more sensitive area. just keep a&d on it for another day or two and then switch to unscented lotion. if it doesnt go away after a few days, i ask a doc about it.I had the same problem with my first tattoo and it was scabbing over. The swelling and the burning went away.
your prolly fine... just keep A&D ointment on it for the 1st 24 hours then keep plain unscented lotion on it... just plain pure lotion. your tat is in a sinsitive area so that explains the swelling. it shouldnt be burning tho. if it itches put lotion on it dont scrath it.of course
just use what your tattoo artist told you to use and take care of it
DO NOT mess with it and take care of it like a wound, it practically is lolIts perfect normal love. Theres a product called tatoo goo!! WOOHOO!! .. without the woohool lol..REALLY helps with the itching, pealing, and swelling of the skin.. its about 12 dollars for a good size bottle. the only bad thing is that you cannot find it in anystore. walmart, and pathmark and your regular tatoo shops usualy carry it. best idea is to go back to where you got it (if you can) and ask the person who gave you the tat to help you pick the right one. its a good product!!! Hope this helps!!
xXx Fluffy xXxSwelling and sometimes extreme swelling on a wrist is normal. It's the nature of the area. Try an ice pack. You're going to notice it more because it's on your wrist. You use it a lot so you'll notice the irritation more. Just try to baby it while it's healing. its scabbing
you should use...
A+D ointment at a phermacy like rite aid
or ekards.
:]
dont pick them!
it will ruin the colorI also had a similar problem with my inner wrist tattoos. I'll give you the steps my tattooist recommends for caring for a new tattoo.
Day 1: (in 2-4 hours)
1- wash hands & gently remove any bandaging.
2- with paper towel and water, gently wipe tattoo clean.
3- with your hand, wash tattoo with icy soapy water in a circular motion.
4- rub ice cube on tattoo for about 1 minute.
5- blot dry and allow tattoo to air.
(this will allow your body to form a new, thin layer of skin)
Day 2:
Shower like normal. Try to keep dry, blot dry and allow to air dry.
(if your tattoo is starting to feel too dry, or is starting to peel, apply lotion - like any diaper rash ointment or preperation h)
Day 3:
Shower like normal. Try to keep tattoo out of direct spray. Blot dry and allow to air dry. In 4 or 5 hours, apply lotion. Dripping gobs are not necessary; rub in like a hand lotion.
If your tattoo feels too dry or tight, apply lotion.
Repeat directions for "Day 3" each day until all dry skin is gone (3-5 days)
Just be sure to keep the tattoo moist, but not too moist or it wont allow your tattoo to heal. If the burning and swelling sensation does not go away or is not getting any better, contact your tattooist or a doctor.
Good luck!!#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
