Is this sentence worded correctly?

  • Please let me know if there is a better way to word this sentence:

"Nor will Princess be a recommendation to anyone that I talk to."

  • What sort of tone are you looking for? If it's just casual speech, you can say 'I'm not going to recommend Princess to anyone', if it's more formal you can say 'I shall not be recommending Princess to anyone whatsover', if you're looking for something a bit old-fashioned you could say 'I shall not recommend Princess to any of my acquaintance'...there's already the idea of speaking to someone in the verb recommend, so you don't need to repeat it.
All depends on the context! ;-)

  • "I wouldn't recommend the life of a Princess to anyone."

    Simple enough?

EDIT: In context your original sentence makes perfect sense.

  • Princess will no longer be a recommendation to anyone that i talk to.

No longer will i recommend Princess to anyone.

it may help if you would add in a few more sentences so we know where this sentence is going. because standing by its self i'm not sure why you are trying to use a 'fancy' way of saying this sentence. it could be put in much simpler language.

  • If this is the final sentence in a letter of complaint, how about: Needless to say, I will not be recommending Princess to anyone. OR Rest assured that I will not be recommending to anyone that they book with Princess Cruise Lines.

  • This doesn't sound much better but here it goes:

Nor will Princess be a recommendation to anyone with whom I speak.

  • Why not "Nor will I recommend Princess to anyone that I talk to"?
