  • Favorite zelda? I think it will always be 'Link to the past' probably fav game ever :) SuperScope Six? Yeah, had it w/ two of its carts (don't know how that happened) but I just sold 'em. Unfortunately I had to or I would have had no home to put them in :(

  • Well, my favorite... being as i have played wind waker a lot this year, that is my 'currrent' favorite. My all time favorite would probuly be ocarina of time. But, i hope to soon get that nintendo disc with the 4 zelda games on em...

    But, I just wanted to give some new info on the Nintendo DS, (that's what there going to call it 'dubble screen') The cartridges are going to made cheaper the the GBA one's Little companies could make profit by making games on the gba exsept nintendo. O yea insiders say that one of the screens is going to be a touch-screen and both screen are going to be vertically. and they probally make it ably the connect wireless with each other. (but i am not sure of that) But they'll probally will.

  • i have beaten the original metroid, although it was a quite some time ago. A few years probuly. I still have it laying around, so maybe i can play it again. BTW, does anyone have a nintendo superscope? My friend just got one, and they are awesome, i am going to go hunt one down. For those of you who dont know what i am talking about, its the nintendo 'gun' for the snes, used on games like yoshis safari and stuff...

    Heh, that's just because Nintendo has been around for ages now. I remember when I was about twelve years old, EVERYONE had a gameboy. That was Nintendo. All their consoles existed back then as well. The X-box is the first of it's kind, and now you start saying that "nintendo is the most bought console". Well duh :sure: ;)

    Also, the gamecube's price has lowered to $ 100, while the Xbox and PS2 are still at about $ 199. So they're cheaper, thus sell better.

    Also, the huge fanbase Nintendo has built up over those years won't suddenly switch to another kind of system. They'll stick to the familiar consoles and brand (Nintendo), which means they don't necessarily buy it for it's quality. Xbox is relatively new, and still needs to build up their fanbase. So making statements right now is just unfair, as the Xbox hasn't even had the chance to compare itself to Nintendo. Wait and see in a couple of years.

  • Why do few people have open minds. If a game is good you buy it. You don't just latch onto a company because it feels moral or cool or safe. They're all faceless corperations. If one falls then the employees who make the games work for another company so there is no loss other than a plausable loss of creative input. But lately that seems to be getting dry anyway.

    ps. Me joining cult so long as I don't have to sacrifice a lamb or anything.

    I think that it would be awesome to see a brand new 2D mario with tons of levels and upgrades and such. I almost prefer that to a new 3D mario...

    Myself, I'm just not into roleplaying games really. I Love action RPG's like Zelda but that's about it. My girl on the other hand, LOVES game like Final Fantasy, Skies or Arcadia, Chrono Trigger and the likes...

    Metal Gear is where my hard earned dough will be going! :)

  • i doubt this next round will bring it, but I really wish console makers would be more innovative with hardware. I don't mean processor speed, I mean like the power glove or the light gun. :D Or, dare I say it?........ some vr goggles.

    I think technology is getting good enough, cheap enough, and gamers are getting sophisticated enough that these things are more likely to work well and be accepted these days.

    I know there are light guns already, but they are not widely supported or utilized. If these things came with systems that would make an even bigger difference. Kind of like analog joystick controls - I couldn't imagine playing splinter cell without it, but before they were standard on joysticks it probably wouldn't have been part of the game.

    ramble off.... for now ;)

  • I think the DS is great but my opinion is that nintendo should focus more on the succesor the the gba (psp anyone?) because like they alredy said the DS is not supposed to go head to head with the psp... also the should worry about the position they are right now in the console market instead of trying to realease a new product on a field they have very well dominated. We have heard about the DS but what about gamecube 2??? what about the nintendo loyalist who would love to see nintendo make some changes about their aproach to the console wars... like I said that's only my opinion I just hope nintendo know what they are doing...

  • well ill be honest, from what ive heard and the articles ive seen in the past, nintendo pay very well end up going the same route that sega went. i hope this doesnt happen, but nintendo's sales and x box have both suffered greatly from the ps2. and the ps3 is supposed to be using some revoloutionary technology.
    i've always said that it isnt about the hardware, its about the funfactor of the games...so lets hope that nintendo kicks it up a notch for the next go.

  • There may be 'more' as you 'claim'. But which is played more? I've had a ps2 for years, and i havent touched it or played it in atleast a year. Gamecube is just so much better, and they have great exclusives as well. What sony made exclusives can match up to nintendo made ones?

  • The original 3 mario's (and super mario world too) kicked butt. I still play them all today (not even the gameboy versions, the originals!). Also, i know this might sound random, but have any of you played pilotwings for the N64? I love that game, good stuff...

    Yea i got dubble Dash! It is an awesome game, espasially when you play it with 4 friends. There is really nothing revulutionair new with the consept of racing but I like it.

    Ok this is a rumore that i hurd going around. For a larger game you can link a few gamecube's together. Ok but that wans't the rumore was that i hurd that a few student alreaddy succeede in making a modification. To get the online With this game.


  • As much as we all would like to see nintendo go to right size compact discs for the next system, i dont think they will, and i am not sure if we'll see dvd playability on the next system either. Nintendo has always been about the games....

  • I used to love Nintendo... until they stopped making good games like Yoshi's Island and Donkey Kong the good ole' way and started making this 3D "adventure" stuff that always seems (to me) to be "collect x about of y and you can move on."

    Very tedious very fast.

    Don't get me wrong, though, I still love that old SNES.

    also they where going to work on the same 3d prosessing card. So... the next two consols will be the same but not all the same... beacuase there still differnt. It's going to be wierd...   • hey t-o, f-zero was revolutionary for its time!, and i have to agree, the phantasy star games for sega were my favs right after shining force, which, for me personally, i dont think anyone will ever be able to touch.
    as for the site, i can't wait to see what to come! i notice on this mac that im using right now i could use the scroll bar on the site...is it a mac thing, or maybe a flash player version thing.

  • Nintendo and microsoft might be working to gether on the next consol. I know it's worring.. i didn't want to tell but you asked, IMB makes as u know th chip for nintendos gamecube and Microsofts X-BOX. So,,, nintendo and microsoft instead to paying IMB twice for research on a neew chip they both combined forces.

    psp i going to be released some where next year so.. not much information on that thing.

    And just for the record, I had a Virtal Boy and man, it was terrible :) It had some great ideas but they just werent relized... my eye's still hurt from the thing!

    Also - my vote for the best Zelda game ever ends in a tie. It was Link to the Past for such a long time but Ocarina of Time is just too good :)

  • Tsk tsk tsk. I thought as nintendo nerds we all knew this stuff. Virtual boy was the unsucessful virtual Nintendo system that came out around '95 i believe. It was unsucessful because it caused eye problems and all kinds of other stuff. That is the only nintendo system i do not own. I am hunting one down though, and ill find it (and yes i do know its on ebay). As to a domain, domains only cost 7.95! Well, i guess i could understand. Later...
