welcome to my space
(Sigma) 28-70 vs 24-70
Right now I've got my (bad) 18-55 lens that came in with my camera and a Sigma 70-200 f2,8 (which I'm quite happy with).
I'd like to get a better lens with less zoom than the 70-200, but if possible, something that covers the distance not used by the 18-55 nor the 70-200.
So I ended up with these two lenses:
Sigma 24-70 F2,8 EX DG MACRO C for 475
and the
Sigma 28-70 F2,8 EX DG C for 338
Quite a lot of difference in price for the minor zoom / Macro option.
The type of photography I like most is street photography, so I don't really need the macro (my 70-200 is also a "macro" one, so when photographing still life / flowers I'll just use that one I guess).
So, to make things short, is the price difference worth it (meaning I'll have to wait one or two months more with buying... need to save more money :D) or should I go for the 28-70mm one?
I mean, for the space from 18-28mm I can use my bad Canon kit lens, since that will mainly be for landscape shots = aperture / DOF won't be too important, since I'll mostly have my tripod with me in case there is not enough light for a hand held shot...
I think I've made my decision then, the 28-70 it will be as soon as I save 350 €, which should be in 2 or 3 weeks since quite some people owe me quite some money...
24-70mm F2.8 EX DG MACRO (http://www.sigmaphoto.com/lenses/lenses_all_details.asp?id=3261&navigator=2)
Either lens would be a nice improvement over the 18-55 kit lens.

hehe, I know, I just can't decide which one... :)
Thanks for the links though...
Does anyone know if the IF from sigma is a good or bad thing? (Internal Focus I believe)
