I am in need of some good electrical help. I have a double wide manufacture home. On just one side of my home the lights dims alot, especially in the room where my computer and printer is.I have one of those touch light lamp in my bedroom when I turn on the switch on the humidifier, the lamp light flash on and go off. I check the circuit panel and on the white nuetral side, it was about 4 wire that look burnt. I had the power company to come out and check the connection outside and everything was fine. I checked all the switches and plugs to see if the wire was lose but they were not. What else can be causing this problem?Call a qualified professional electrician to inspect your panel and wiring and to tighten the connections. You have at least 4 locations in the wiring with problems. The neutrals are burning and the oxidation of the wire is causing problems. Did you have a heavy rain storm before this started? That may be the problem. Also in Mobile homes, the double wides use a quick connect plug to join the 2 halves together. I would suspect that connector to be the source of the problem. Call a qualified professional electrician to locat that problem. Ask if they have an IR gun to trace the problem. It costs more but is much faster and more thorough than a open the box inspection in this case. I've seen a problem in a manufactured home where the power is looped through a receptacle with a bad connection. The light dimming is telling you the voltage is dropping which is resistance somewhere in the circuit. Resistance creates heat. The wires that look burned need to be investigated ASAP. You can also check for heat at all the receptacle covers after the lights have been on for a while even if nothing is plugged into them. An electrician should be able to trace the voltage drop if you can't find it. Since you say that the neutrals looked burnt, I'd check the lug screws on the neutrals.
Sounds like they're loose.
Good luck...
