Go to them and tell them what happened. go to the store, don't call. Then tell them you've been with them a long time and you need a new phone, if you're new then play it this way you need a new phone can they help you out with either a new one (freebie of the promotional one or a refurbished one) they probably will just be nice. If they won't then ask them what it cost to buy out your contract for the remaining time and say specifically, "because looks like it's probably going to be cheaper at this point to just buy this one out and switch to Sprint so I can get a new phone with no deposit or anything" trust me they won't let you walk out the door, it's the holidays, the econony sucks...hopefully you've paid your bill on time so that will be in your favor to.
